Spanking Melania accepted for publication…

December 7, 2010

Spanking Melania is now under contract with Black Velvet Seductions!

I received the signed contract for my third erotic romance/domestic discipline novella in yesterday’s mail. The next step is editing and revision, and then publication. Yeah, baby!

What’s cool about Spanking Melania is that it’s the first in a series of “Rod and Cane Society” novellas/novels about women married to men involved in a secret organization promoting domestic discipline. Each story revolves about one couple in the organization. The first story introduces the Rod and Cane Society and tells the story of newlywed Melania Traynor and her husband, Jared.

Here’s the “jacket blurb”:

Having been reared in a traditional family in which her father was the undisputed head of household, Melania Traynor eagerly vows to follow and obey her new husband. She’s thrilled to marry Jared Traynor, a man who will love, protect and guide her with a firm hand.

She has no idea how firm.

For Jared belongs to the Rod and Cane Society, an organization of men and their wives who are devoted practitioners of domestic discipline.

When Melania disobeys a “request” from her husband and attempts to hide her disobedience, Jared doesn’t hesitate to deliver the spanking he feels is warranted.

Although Melania consents, she realizes that she got more than she bargained for and doubts she can submit to a lifetime of domestic discipline.

Jared doubts he can accept anything less.

As I write this, I’m wrapping up the first draft of the second book in the series, Disciplining Emma. Emma is briefly introduced in Spanking Melania. All characters in future books will be introduced in earlier ones so readers can try to guess who I’ll write about next. (Oops! I guess I spilled the beans on book two). Disciplining Emma will be a novel, rather than the shorter novella.

To wrap it all up, this is my erotic romance/spanking story history to date:

I’m superstitious enough to not count my chickens before they hatch, but with a signed contract in my hand, I feel safe enough to say, one chicken, two chicken, three chicken…
